Provincial Nomination Program

Almost every province has its own unique program called the Provincial Nominee Program. Under the P.N.P. program, immigrants can establish themselves successfully as permanent residents in Canada.

Working in agreement with C.I.C., the Provincial Nominee Program allows each province to directly select immigrants who can fill critical skill and service shortages within that province. Persons who immigrate to Canada under the Provincial Nominee Program have the skills, education and work experience required to make an immediate economic contribution to the province or territory that nominates them.

Immigrants who wish to apply as a Provincial Nominee must first apply to the province where they wish to settle.

STEP 1.
A Nominee must first receive a Provincial Nomination Certificate from the province.

STEP 2.
After a successful nomination by a province, a separate application must be made to Citizenship and Immigration Canada for a Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa.

Please Note:The Province of Quebec, does not participate in the Provincial Nomination Program. Quebec has established its own selection criteria for all immigrants who intend to immigrate to that province.
